Coalition for Public Accesse-ALERT (June 20, 2008) |
Dear CPA Friend,
Inyo and Mono counties are about to lose 400,000 acres of public land to wilderness designation. Our friends at Advocates for Access to Public Lands (AAPL) sent the following message. The CPA will have representatives at the meeting in Bishop. Please support our neighbors in their fight to preserve open access.
Below is a link to an AAPL flier promoting attendance at the two Inyo County Board of Supervisors Wilderness Bill Public Meetings. Boxer, Feinstein and Mckeon Staff will be present as well, to hear the public's feelings on this all-important issue. The meetings are at 4 pm on Tuesday, June 24th and Wednesday the 25th.
The Tuesday meeting is in Independence at the American Legion Hall and the Wednesday meeting is in Bishop at the Fairgrounds. Don't worry about coming after work as the meetings will be going into the evening.
