Soroptimist International of Smith Valley will host a Candidates Night meeting...
Time: 7:00 pm
Date: October 9 (Thursday)
Place: Multi-Purpose Room, Smith Valley High School
Candidates Attending: Donna Kristaponis and Chuck Roberts (County Commission, District 1), Sherry Parsons and Joe Mortensen (County Commission, District 4), Tom Grady and Steven Dalton (Nevada Assembly)
The format for the event will include remarks by the candidates and the opportunity to ask questions of each of them. In view of recent attempts by the Nevada Wilderness Project to severely reduce multi-use public lands, it is essential that we elect candidates who will fight to keep multi-use public lands from becoming closed by changing them to wilderness areas.
