Humboldt County Administrator..."Humboldt County has opposed Wilderness designation in our County unless it was recommended in the studies done in earlier years. Most of the area that was recommended in these studies were Mountain tops and would not have effected us significantly. We opposed the Black Rock NCA and surrounding wilderness when it was proposed, however we were unsuccessful. We have chosen not to become involved in the Land Bill process due to the wilderness issue which seems to get tied to each and every land bill."

passes Resolution #08-06 to have current pending Nevada
Lands Bills put on hold until counties that are affected pass a resolution that supports the Lands Bill for
their county. The resolution further states that in the future Lands Bills should only be originated by a
requesting county by way of a resolution.
